To fully and properly test it, you need to buy it, download and install the extra content, and activate the codecs. Don't even bother with the basic version. If you go for MEP, get at least the Plus version, better with the Premium if you like the additional third party addons. I am interested in the SVP 14 upgrade but not willing to pay another $349 for the Suite. Most of these crashes seem to be related to NewBlue products such as the Titler. I have been using SVP since version 8 and while I love just about everything about it, I don't like all of the crashes. Do you have experience with both Sony Vegas Pro and MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Premium? If so, I am interested in your take on the benefits of each.
